Asthma Symptoms, Types, and Tips

Asthma is known to be a chronic, life-threatening disease which should not be overlooked. It is a long-term inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs. To get rid of the condition, you must first understand the symptoms and its types.


Symptoms of Asthma

The inflammation of the bronchial tubes characterizes the presence of Asthma in an individual. Asthmatic people mostly experience symptoms when the airways tighten, inflame or fill with mucus. Tips for Getting Rid of Asthma 

There are ways to get rid of asthma or at least control it. These tips are both medical and traditional.

Tip 1. Getting rid of asthma will require avoidance of the things you love. Pets for instance that drop hair and cats mostly must be avoided. These animals will prevent the person from breathing fresh air and thus prevents him from getting rid of chest pains.

Tip 2. If you are used to smoking and you know it brings asthmatic problems to you, consider quitting it. It will be wise if you suffer due to lack of something than suffering health condition.

Tip 3. Another valuable advice is to keep the house dry and dustless. If financial conditions allow, install an air conditioner because it will keep the house dry and avoid humidity related problems.

Tip 6. A healthy diet is just like an exercise. Proper nutrition is a good recipe for dealing with asthma. Taking fruits, vegetables and balanced diet help in ensuring that the body has the content which is necessary for immunity.

Tips To do during Asthma Attack without Inhaler

Tip 1. Stop what you are doing and make sure to sit upright. Do not bend or lay down because it can constrict your breathing more.

Tip 2. Take a long and deep breath. Breathe in through your nose while breathing out through the mouth. It will prevent hyperventilation.

Tip 3. Remember to stay calm. When you keep calm, it prevents further muscle tightening that makes more natural breathing.

Tip 4. Avoid trigger. Dust, chemical smell, and cigarette smoke can trigger the situation. So as much as possible, get away from the trigger and find an air-conditioned room or a place with clean air.

Tip 5. Drink caffeinated beverage. A hot and caffeinated drink such as coffee helps open up slightly the airways that provide relief after an hour.
